Former tennis player Martina Navratilova has given her reaction after American former film producer Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of rape.
The 70-year-old Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting an actress in 2013 at a Los Angeles trial. Weinstein was found guilty nearly three years ago of sexual assault and rape in New York.
Weinstein possessed immense power during his Hollywood days and abused it alarmingly until he was named in the #MeToo movement.
He has completed only two years in a 23-year imprisonment sentence for the rape and sexual assault conviction in New York. With several charges against his name, the road is going to get sterner for Weinstein.
The 66-year-old Martina Navratilova expressed her opinion after the verdict as she took to Twitter and wrote:
“A fitting end for this monster”
