Naomi Osaka and her sister Mari have jump on to the NFT train with some stellar art pieces.
NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are all the rage in the world right now. The market has been soaring and a lot of people have begun buying NFTs expecting it boom anytime.
And likely so, World no.2 Naomi Osaka and her elder sister Mari (retired now) have launched their own NFTs in the form of some stunning art. They are currently auctionable.
Osaka announced the news via. Instagram divulging that she and her sister have always been fascinated by art since their childhood, and that they have also partnered with Basic Space in a bid to share their work and reduce the carbon footprint of NFTs.
Osaka’s message on Instagram read:
As lovers, creators, and curators of art since we were young, Mari and I are very excited to formally enter the world of art through NFTs. We wanted to do something a little bit different and more personal, so I asked my sister to create these pieces with me to offer something unique and special to fans and collectors from around the world.

Osaka just won the recently concluded Australian Open, thereby becoming a 4 time grand slam winner. She recently revealed that she will be looking forward to making a statement at the Olympic games in her homeland of Japan.
As Osaka prepares herself to strike gold at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, she recently revealed who her favourite Olympic athlete was.
She picked Jamaican sprint king Usain Bolt as her all-time favourite athlete, going on to say that her entirely family admired the 8 time Olympic gold winner.
Speaking of which she said :
“For me, it’s always been a dream of mine. As a kid you wake up and watch your favourite athletes play. My most outstanding Olympic memory is just watching [Usain] Bolt run. He’s my favourite athlete, me and my whole family – my dad loves his running, so we would just, like, watch him.” [via ITFTennis.com]
