Naomi Osaka has admitted that Novak Djokovic’s vaccine saga has not bothered her ahead of Australian Open
Japanese women’s tennis star Naomi Osaka has recently made a telling statement on Novak Djokovic and also his situation. The recent Djokovic controversy has bothered everyone. The Serbian was denied entry into Australia and eventually had to be sent back and had his visa cancelled in the process.
While most people have had something to say about the situation, Osaka has made it known that she is not affected by the situation. During a press conference, she said:
“To be completely honest the Djokovic situation didn’t affect me, maybe it did more with men’s players. My goal is focus on myself more, I’m a tennis player and I focus on my matches”.
It is safe to say that Osaka is staying in her lane and is not bothered by what is happening around her. Osaka is focused on Australian Open 2022 campaign and will also look to devote all of her energy to it.

The Japanese tennis star has kicked off her Australian Open 2022 campaign with an impressive win over Camilla Osario in the first round of the tournament. Osaka beat Osaria over two sets, 3-6 and 3-6. With an impressive win over the Colombian, she has also advanced to the second round of the tournament.
Osaka will take on Madison Brengle in second round of the tournament on 19th January. It will be interesting to see how far Osaka can go in the Australian Open 2022.
