Nick Kyrgios had a great outing at the recently-concluded Wimbledon Championships. He made it to the final before being defeated by an in-form Novak Djokovic.
The Australian star had smooth sailing at the most prestigious Grand Slam in tennis but his experience while traveling to the Bahamas via a layover in Canada has not been that great. His girlfriend Costeen Hatzi uploaded a story on her Instagram account showing the couple lying on the floor at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, waiting for their lost luggage. Also, their flight was delayed to make matters worse.
The couple was traveling to the Bahamas via Toronto, Canada. The unfortunate incident happened at the airport. A couple of screenshots of Hatzi’s Instagram story can be seen below:
The Canadians and tourists from elsewhere have been experiencing these problems at Canada’s most busy airport in recent times as per the reports. Hatzi later posted a couple of more stories after reaching the Bahamas. Screenshots are attached below:
Nick Kyrgios said after his Wimbledon final loss to Novak Djokovic that he has played a lot of tennis at the Grand Slam and will take some time off.
US Open 2022 begins on 29 August so Kyrgios still has more than a month to rest and recover ahead of the tournament. It is expected that the 27-year-old will be in action after notching up his best performance in a Grand Slam event at Wimbledon this year.
Last year, he was ousted in the first round of the US Open by Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets. Kyrgios has made it to the third round of the US Open on four different occasions. The last of them was in 2019.
