The Adria Tour launched by Novak Djokovic will from June 13 – July 5 across the Balkans
Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour sold out its first 1000 tickets in minutes, prompting the authorities to sell more on Friday.
The first 1000 tickets were sold in just seven minutes. Now, the Ticket Vision company, who are officially giving away the Adria Tour tickets, are now planning to sell another 1000 tomorrow.
The new plan to sell another round of 1000 tickets was announced by Adria Tour officials on the Tour’s official Instagram handle via a statement.
The statement read, “First 1.000 tickets for the charity sports event “Adria Tour” have been sold out in seven record minutes!”
“For all those who did not manage to get the tickets, we have good news – we have decided to release another 1,000 tickets on Friday,” Adria Tour officials posted.
The statement added that fans will be allowed to attend Tour only with protective measures. It also advised the spectators to maintain social distancing of at least one metres when required. The Adria Tour launched by World No.1 Djokovic will from June 13 – July 5 across the Balkans.
Meanwhile, former Croatian tennis star and member of Djokovic’s coaching staff, Goran Ivanisevic, has been named as the director of the Tour.
The first tournament will be played in the Serbian capital of Belgrade at TC Novak courts on 13 – 14 June. The following weekend, on 20 – 21 June, Visnjik in Zadar, Croatia will play host to a tournament which is being co-organised by the Croatian Tennis Association.
“The tournament will be played on clay and we were ready for hardcourt, but Novak’s team still decided for clay. We are waiting for the final confirmation of the number of fans that will be allowed,” Ivanisevic told Nova TV.
After Zadar, the series moves to Montenegro (27-28 June) and Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina (3-4 July).
Several top stars are part of the tournament, and it should make for interesting viewing. There hasn’t been any tennis action since the coronavirus pandemic. Many stars have stayed in shape while maintaining the lockdown, but they have shared a lot of content on social media.
