“Oh no, Jannik” – Twitter reacts as Jannik Sinner withdraws from the Davis Cup finals

Jannik Sinner’s absence will be a huge blow for Italy ahead of their quarter-final clash against the U.S.A

Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner took to Twitter to confirm that he is pulling out of Italy’s Davis Cup tie due to a finger injury. Sinner picked up the injury at the Paris Masters last and won’t be able to recover in time for the Davis Cup tie. Italy will face the U.S.A from November 24 in the quarter-finals of Davis Cup 2022.

In his official statement on Twitter, Sinner wrote: “I am very sad to announce that I will not be able to participate in the Davis Cup final. I suffer from a finger injury from Paris. Unfortunately, I have not recovered yet and therefore will not be able to join our team.” Sinner is currently ranked World No.12 in singles and his withdrawal will certainly be a big blow to Italy’s chances. This withdrawal also means that Sinner will take further part this year and will be next seen in action in 2023.
