Jessica Chastain won the Oscar in the category of Best Actress for her role in the film ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ – she is a massive Roger Federer fan
Roger Federer has a fan following that anyone in the world would envy. The Swiss maestro is admired and followed all over the world by people belonging to all sections of society. From stars and celebrities to ordinary citizens and children, the love and admiration for Federer never end.
Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain is another addition to Federer’s incredible list of fans. The American actress won the Oscar at the recently concluded 94th Annual Academy Awards for her performance in the biopic ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’.
In a picture shared on Twitter, Chastain can be seen wearing a Roger Federer brand ‘RF’ cap. The image has already gone viral and Federer fans are delighted to welcome another celebrity fan to their family.
How soon can we see Roger Federer back in action?
Roger Federer’s last appearance in a professional tennis event was at Wimbledon 2021. The Swiss maestro has been out of action for close to a year now and is likely to extend well beyond that. Federer had to undergo two knee surgeries in 2020 after which he made a brief comeback, playing five tournaments before he had to go for a third surgery. However, the recent video uploaded by the tennis ace on social media could be a positive sign that we can see him back at the courts very soon. The Swiss Maestro recently shared a clip on Instagram where he is seen practicing forehand shots behind closed doors.
Roger Federer resumed racket training with his wife last week under his coach Severin Luthi’s supervision. Mirka is a former top 100 WTA circuit player.
Luthi said, “The main thing for him is to slowly find his feet again. He’s still in the rehabilitation phase. He can always do more, he is actively working. Not only the muscles of the knee or leg are built up but the whole body is strengthened. It’s a real conditioning program.“
Luthi sounds confident that Federer’s rehabilitation program is working well for the athlete. Things are slowly getting back on track for the Swiss maestro although he has not yet resumed hardcore physical work. Federer is in regular contact with his fitness trainer Pierre Paganini and will resume fitness training under his supervision very soon.
