World No.1 Novak Djokovic has been the brand ambassador of Peugeot in the past
French automotive manufacturer Peugeot recently released a video advertisement featuring Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic.
In the video Peugeot are bringing in the concept of electric cars and promoting their new electric version.
The Peugeot symbol had appeared on the left sleeve of Novak Djokovic’s Lacoste polo shirt during several tournaments.
What makes the video even more interesting is the fact that Peugeot included a clip of a young Djokovic talking about his dreams.
Djokovic’s plans from the past
In the emotional video, a seven-year-old Djokovic could be seen talking about what shots he loves in tennis. He also mentions that he would be a World No.1 one day which not so surprisingly has become true.
The video titled ‘power of silence’ depicts an adult Djokovic saying that he used to talk a lot as a young kid and that now he prefers silence.
He adds that you don’t have to be loud and clear to be efficient, sometimes silence is all that matters and the performance will do the talking.
The ad was in a way drawing parallels between Peugeot’s new electric car and Djokovic’s own history in a bid to promote their new model.
Moreover, Djokovic, who over the course of his career has voiced his support for environmental issues provides an ideal combination for the promotion of Peugeot’s new version of electric cars.
Unlike normal cars, electric cars reduce pollution and are not be hazardous to the environment.
