‘Next Gen’ star Stefanos Tsitsipas grabbed the headlines recently by protesting in a unique way during the coronavirus lockdown.
With tennis suspended at least until July this year, tennis stars including Tsitsipas have been restricted to their houses. The Greek tennis sensation has been keeping himself busy by being active online.
Tsitspas came out in a unique manner by registering his protest against the year 2020, which so far, has been agonising enough for the world.
The pandemic has hit most of the countries with America, Italy, and Spain being one of the worst-affected. Tsitspias, who is currently undergoing quarantine in Monaco wants a refund for the ongoing year.

He posted a photo of himself asking for a refund on Instagram with the caption: “I skipped on lunch for this”, drawing a lot of response. In the hilarious photo, Tsitsipas could be seen holding a signboard, recreating the posts put up celebrity Instagram user ‘dudewithsign’.
Meanwhile, the Greek was also seen playing online and creating videos in the last few days engaging himself and his fans.
Tsitsipas and Denis Shapovalov complete list
Youngsters Tsitsipas and Denis Shapovalov complete the list of participants who will feature in the new Mutua Madrid Open Virtual Pro tournament.
The new tournament will begin from April 27 and last till April 30. The open will witness top tennis stars on the planet facing each other from their homes.
A clay court is the home of the Madrid Open normally. However, this year’s tournament will be something different..
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas and Shapovalov complete the list of total entrants participating in the event.
Joining them in the virtual event are top tennis stars such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Dominic Thiem, and others.
2019 Madrid Open runner-up Tsitsipas is currently the World No.6, according to the ATP rankings.
