Six-time Grand Slam Champion Stefan Edberg feels Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time. The Swedish icon feels if we add popularity and fanbase to his achievements, Federer eclipses his nearest competitors Djokovic and Nadal. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles compared to Djokovic’s 21 and Nadal’s 22.

It’s difficult to say. Djokovic, Nadal and Federer are pretty much tied in terms of achievements, but if you add the popularity and fanbase, Roger might be above them”, said Edberg when asked who is the greatest tennis player of all time. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are clear of the rest of the pack when it comes to Grand Slam titles with each of them winning 20 or more. Pete Sampras with 14 and Roy Emerson with 12 are fourth and fifth on the all-time list.
