PV Sindhu sympathies with tennis ace Naomi Osaka

Indian badminton ace PV Sindhu supported the decision of Naomi Osaka after her withdrawal earlier from Roland Garros in Paris.

Sindhu sympathized with Osaka and agreed with her stance on withdrawing from the tournament. She was quoted saying: “You have to respect her personal decision. She wasn’t rude with media but said not right now, maybe later she will come back and speak. So, I think we have to respect that.” (h/t The Print )

” She might be a bit depressed or upset, so we need to respect her personal space.”

Osaka withdrew from the tournament after winning her first-round match in Paris. The Japanese refused to attend the post-match press conference, stating mental health issues.

The French Open officials fined her $15,000. They threatened to expel her from the tournament if she continued.

The sporting world came out in support after Osaka withdrew. She thanked her fans and others in an Instagram story:
