Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal reveals his fitness secret at the day three Australian Open
Rafael Nadal showed incredible resilience in the second round of the Australian Open against Yannick Hanfmann. The Spaniard walked away with a victory but had to fight hard for the same. After the match, the 35-year-old made a quite interesting claim when asked about the secret of his fitness.
Nadal revealed that he is not a big gym guy and rather prefers to play golf. Speaking at the post-game interview, Nadal was asked how he keeps himself fit and said:
“I play some golf. But honestly, and that’s the truth. I never have been a gym guy, you know?”
At the age of 35, Nadal is still going strong and it looks like golf is really helping to keep him fit.
Nadal fought hard to earn a win in the second round of the Australian Open against Hanfmann. The Spaniard ended up winning the game in straight sets, however, he was constantly troubled by the German. The match lasted nearly 3 hours.
After an amazing performance in the second round of the Australian Open, Rafael Nadal will take on Karen Khachanov in the third round of the tournament. The match has been scheduled for 21st January.
Nadal will look to continue his winning run in the tournament and possibly get his hands on the trophy as well. It will be interesting to see how far Nadal manages to go in the tournament.
