Czech tennis star Karolina Pliskova has conveyed her support after national team footballer Jakub Jankto publicly revealed that he is Gay. Jankto plays for the Czech Republic national football team and Czech football club Sparta Prague. Jankto revealed his true identity in a public statement on social media.
In his official statement, Jankto made a heart-touching revelation: “I am homosexual, and I no longer want to hide myself. I also want to live my life in freedom, without fear, without prejudice, without violence, but with love.” Soon after his statement went viral, messages of support and good wishes poured in for the footballers from fans and athletes across the globe. Fellow Czech athlete Karolina Pliskova took to Twitter to express her support and admiration – “Respect! I wish you all the best #loveforall”, she wrote.
