Roger Federer’s comeback is a matter of time?

Roger Federer post his knee surgery had stated that he might be missing many months of action but he has a comeback in mind for 2022.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner had withdrawn from the US Open last year and has been sorely missed by tennis lovers ever since. Federer last participated in the Wimbledon last year where he was upset by 14th seed Hubert Hurkacz in the quarterfinal in straight sets.

Federer has been out of action for over eight months now after his third knee surgery in two years. The 40-year-old had confirmed previously that his comeback will have to wait till at least late summer. Therefore, ruling him out of Wimbledon.

Speaking to Swiss broadcaster SRF at a women’s World Cup ski race, Federer said that he was recuperating well and responding nicely to rehabilitation. He revealed that he was thinking of a return.

Roger Federer’s fan following is second to none in the tennis world. Fans have been waiting eagerly for some sort of hint from the horse’s mouth regarding his comeback.

Roger Federer recently posted a promising video on his Instagram where he is seen practicing forehands. Federer looked at relative ease while playing the forehand shots. His foot movement was also encouraging.

Fans have been drooling over the video after seeing their favorite, hitting some balls albeit in a net session. They have waited for a long time to watch the former World No.1 in some sort of action.

Tommy Haas recently named Federer the ‘one-handed backhand GOAT’ and it’s hard to disagree with the German.

Everyone is waiting with bated breath for Federer’s comeback. It’s a good sign that Federer’s back at practice and it seems as if the big announcement is around the corner.
