The 20-time Grand Slam champion teamed with arch-rival Rafael Nadal to take on the team of Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock in a doubles match at the Laver Cup. The two veterans rolled back the years and gave us some great moments to cherish in their last dance together at the professional level.

Nadal and Federer won the first set but Sock and Tiafoe fought hard to bag the second set. The American duo eventually eked out the win 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 11-9. During the match, Novak Djokovic was on the sidelines cheering for his teammates Nadal and Federer. The Serbian legend has shared many special moments on the court with Federer over the years. He was emotionally invested like all tennis fans during Federer’s swansong.

Djokovic and Federer have had cold wars with each other at several points in their career. Sometimes, things became quite heated between the two legends, and last month, there were rumors doing the rounds suggesting that Federer still held a grudge against the 35-year-old as he did not respond to Djokovic’s heartfelt message after he announced his retirement.
