Speaking in a light-hearted interview with ‘We Are Tennis’, Tsitsipas remarked, “The most beautiful person that smashes rackets and he hasn’t done that a lot in his career, but in terms of finesse when he does it, is Roger Federer. No other player knows how to break a racket the way Roger does.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas was particularly impressed by Federer’s racquet smash in the 2009 Miami Masters. The Maestro lost his match against Djokovic and ended up destroying his racket in frustration.

Who are possible the challengers to the throne?

One name which definitely comes to mind when it comes to breaking rackets is Nick Kyrgios. The Australian star is known for losing his cool on the tennis court. Kyrgios has broken his racket multiple times out of frustration.

Another name that comes up is that of Russia’s Daniil Medvedev. Very recently, Medvedev was seen throwing his racket out of frustration thereby breaking it at the Australian Open. Even the current World No. 1, Novak Djokovic isn’t too far off when it comes to breaking rackets. The Serbian is widely known as someone who loses his cool when things don’t go his way and there are multiple incidents of Djokovic smacking his racket on the court.
