The tennis legend has not played much tennis in 2022. Still, she has been placed second in Forbes’ list of highest-paid female athletes for the third year in a row. This is mainly because of her various sponsorships and endorsements.

The 41-year-old appeared for a few seconds in the Netflix movie during a scene where Daniel Craig and Janelle Monae’s characters are in conversation at the gym. Williams surprises them and asks if the pair are going to work out or not in her own inimitable way.

When did Serena Williams win her first singles Grand Slam title?

Serena Williams won 23 Grand Slam titles in singles, 14 Grand Slam titles in doubles, and 2 in mixed doubles.

The American tennis pro won her first Grand Slam title at the 1998 Wimbledon Championships but that was in the mixed doubles event. As far as winning the first singles Grand Slam title is concerned, Williams achieved the feat at the 1999 US Open.

Williams got the better of Martina Hingis in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) in the final to bag the title. With that win, Williams became the first African American woman in the Open Era to win a singles major.
