“You guys are huge fighters with a big heart” -Stefanos Tsitsipas hails Japan for making Knockouts at Fifa World Cup

Football fever is going high as we reach closer to the knockout stages of the Fifa World Cup – Stefanos Tsitsipas took to Twitter to congratulate Japan for qualifying for the knockouts.

It has been a world cup of upsets. Saudi Arabia pulled off a huge win as they came from a goal down to defeat Argentina. Japan, placed in a very tough group alongside the likes of Spain, Germany, and Costa Rica, progressed through to the round of 16 by stunning the 2010 world cup champs and the 2014 world cup champs.

Fans and experts alike has lauded Japan’s performance in the group stages. Greek tennis star, Stefanos Tsitsipas has also appreciated Japan’s performance via a post on Twitter. He hailed the players as fighters with big hearts. He ended the tweet by urging the players to keep working hard and dreaming big.

“Congratulations #JPN! You guys are huge fighters with a big heart. Keep putting in the work, keep dreaming big!”

Japan topped its group and will take on Croatia in the round of 16 on Monday in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
