Stefanos Tsitsipas is all geared to begin his US Open campaign on 29th August against Milos Raonic – he responded to a “bathroom” fan taunt.

Stefanos Tsitsipas hosted a brief ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit ahead of his US Open campaign on August 29. Among the many questions that popped up, a fan cheekily taunted the Greek for his typical long bathroom breaks and asked him: “What tournament has the fanciest bathroom facilities?” It is not quite clear if Tsitsipas realised that it was a taunt but it was nice of the Greek to come up with a response as he replied: “Wimbledon”.

The controversy surrounding Stefanos Tsitsipas’ bathroom breaks came to the forefront in various high-profile matches. Critics argue that these breaks can potentially provide players with a mental and physical advantage, as they allow for regrouping and a break in the flow of the game. Opponents, spectators, and fellow players have voiced concerns that this tactic might be employed strategically to gain an upper hand, rather than solely for its intended purpose of addressing personal needs.
