Tsitsipas defeated J.J Wolf 6-1,6-0 in 47 minutes

Stefanos Tsitsipas stormed into the quarter finals of the Acapulco ATP 500. He defeated American Jeffrey Wolf in straight sets. The 3rd seed will face Marcos Giron in the quarter-finals. Tsitsipas won his match against Wolf in just 47 minutes, the fastest ever completed victory in his ATP career.

The World No. 4 overcame a challenging first round fixture against Laslo Djere. He won his first match 7-6, 7-6. The approach was totally different against Wolf. Tsitsipas was aggressive and uncompromising right from the beginning and it shows in the scoreline.

Stefanos Tsitsipas creates back to back records

The Greek has now created two records in two consecutive matches at the Mexican Open. In his first game, Tsitsipas secured his 200th career win. He’s the first man born in 1998 or later to reach that milestone. He followed it up with his fastest ever career win in his 2nd match.

Tsitsipas is participating in the Doubles’ event of the tournament as well. He has partnered up with Spain’s Feliciano Lopez. The duo won their last match 7-6, 6-4 against the Australian pair of Smith and Laville. They will be up against No. 2 seeds from Colombia, Farah and Cabal.

Tsitsipas will have to play both his Singles’ and Doubles’ matches on the same day. Playing two quarter final fixtures will definitely take a toll on the body. It will be interesting to see how the Greek adjusts to the requirement.
