Stefanos Tsitsipas had shared a birthday message for Nick Kyrgios on Instagram
Stefanos Tsitsipas tried to make amends after his birthday prank on Nick Kyrgios went a little sour.
Greek tennis ace Tsitsipas had on Monday offered his birthday wishes to fellow tennis star Kyrgios by posting a photo of himself holding a cardboard sign “Call me,” with Kyrgios’s Australian mobile number written underneath.
Meanwhile, Kyrgios, who turned 25 years old did not have the best of birthdays he would have hoped for.
Continuing his Instagram trend of standing in public with signs – his own version of the viral account @dudewithsign, Tsitsipas’s simple birthday message to Kyrgios caused a lot of trouble.
Having understood the repercussion of his action, Tsitsipas soon made amends by posting another story in his Instagram handle. It was the same image, however, this time the cardboard sign read, “Stop calling Nick”
Kyrgios, whose number was exposed in social media had to go to the extent of commenting underneath Tsitsipas’s post to stop fans from calling him.
“You are an absolute idiot, everyone stop calling me!!!!” Kyrgios replied in a comment on the photo.
Birthday boy Kyrgios posts video
Meanwhile, Kyrgios posted a video separately requesting fans to leave him alone. He shared the video via a story wherein the Australian could be heard saying,
“What’s up guys, I understand that it’s my birthday today, 25, it’s a big one. But please, I understand that Tsitsipas posted my number on his Instagram. Please stop calling me. I can’t even play music, I can’t do anything, please stop calling me. Appreciate it,”

Tsitsipas, however, has still not deleted the post which created much uproar. His antics had led to Kyrgios having to switch off his phone with calls from around the globe flooding his phone.
It seems like Kyrgios might even have to find a new number with the one already exposed to the whole world.
