Denis Shapovalov and Matteo Berrettini are set to play their respective Round of 16 matches tomorrow at the Stuttgart Open
Denis Shapovalov vs Oscar Otte
Dennis Shapovalov’s form coming into the match
Shapovalov is coming into the Stuttgart Open on the back of a disappointing French Open campaign – he lost in the first round itself to Holger Rune. Shapovalov’s best performance this year came at the Dubai Tennis Championships, where he reached the semi-finals. The Canadian is seeded fourth in the tournament and would be aiming for a good, consistent string of results.
Oscar Otte’s form coming into the match
Oscar Otte won his first round match against Daniel Altmaier 7-6, 7-6. The World No. 59 has been in decent touch off late and recently reached the semi-finals of the Bavarian International. The German will however face an uphill task against the much higher seed, Shapovalov in the Round of 16.

Matteo Berrettini vs Radu Albot
Matteo Berrettini’s form coming into the match
Berrettini will be in action on the ATP tour after a gap of almost three months. The Italian is seeded No.2 in the tournament and is one of the favorites to clinch the title. Berrettini last played on the tour back in March at the Indian Wells Masters – he lost in the Round of 16 to Miomir Kecmanovic. The Italian’s best performance this year came at the Australian Open, where he reached the semis but lost to eventual champion, Rafael Nadal.
Radu Albot’s form coming into the match
Radu Albot has been in impressive touch in Stuttgart. The Moldova star won two rounds of qualifiers to make it to the main draw of the event. In the Round of 32, he defeated Portugal’s Joao Sousa in straight sets 6-2, 7-6. The match against Berrettini however, will certainly be an immensely tough challenge.
