Tennis legend Billie Jean King took to Twitter to congratulate Candace Parker on achieving this historic feat. During her playing career, Parker has broken several WNBA records and even made history as the first woman to cover the popular NBA2K video game. This is certainly an addition of another glorious feather in Parker’s illustrious cap.

King has always been an advocate for sexual equality and is a pillar of strength for the women athletes within the sporting fraternity. King is always vocal about her support for women and encourages female athletes to make it big in sports.
Candace Parker has emerged as a stalwart in the NBA
Parker is a two-time WNBA Champion and is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. She has created history off the basketball court as well by becoming the first woman to cover the popular NBA2K video game and also has her own production company, titled ‘Baby Hair Productions’. Now, she is all set to make her NBA All-Star Game analyst debut as the first woman to call the event.
Parker is understandably elated to have achieved this historic feat. “I’m a fan, first and foremost, of the NBA and especially the All-Star Game. And so I think the fan of the game, and the childhood Candace is — I have to pinch myself to believe that I’m doing it, and that I’m able to have a courtside seat to see the best players in the world”, she said in an interview. The All-Star Game between Team LeBron and Team Giannis is scheduled to take place on February 19.
