During a remarkable evening where she achieved her first 40-point performance since 2010, Diana Taurasi, aged 41, achieved a historic feat by becoming the oldest player in WNBA history to score 40 points, as reported by ESPN. Her scoring spree pushed her career total to 10,024 points, surpassing Tina Thompson’s previous record of 7,488 points which now places Taurasi at the top.
Throughout the current season, Taurasi has played in 18 games and maintained an average of 16.1 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game, prior to the recent match.
