Stephen Curry’s incredible 50 points went in vain as Warriors succumbed to a defeat against the Clippers
Andy Murray appears to be mesmerised by Stephen Curry’s incredible display last night in the NBA. Curry single-handedly kept his team in the game, scoring a whopping 50 points but it wasn’t enough as the Golden State Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Clippers 126-134.
Despite the unfavourable result, the basketball star was unplayable on the night as he went on to score the 12th 50-point game of his career.
Murray was evidently overwhelmed by that display and the tennis icon took to Twitter to express how he felt at that moment. “@StephenCurry30 is pure box office. One of (my) favourite athletes to watch #NBA”, he wrote.
Curry is a legend of the sport and considered to be the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. He has won four NBA championships, been named the MVP twice and received an NBA Finals MVP Award along with an NBA All-Star Game MVP Award.
Let us take a look at some of the reactions from fans on Twitter.
“You’re one of my favorite athletes to watch Andy! An inspiration! Steph is entertaining too though for sure”, wrote a fan.
“Sir Andy, this is why you are my fav. You know ball”, tweeted another fan.
“The refs are so bad. Steph is the most disrespected Superstar I’ve ever seen. Even rookies get more foul calls than Steph”, read a tweet.
“The best in the league by far”, stated another fan.
Another fan wrote: “Andy and Steph are both the same height and age. Both are pure box office in their respective sport. Would not say no to a collab between these two.”
