Twitter explodes as Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios take shots at each other after “different breed” post

Nick Kyrgios posted an update on Instagram which got Boris Becker talking and it all went down from there

It is safe to say that Nick Kyrgios isn’t the typical tennis professional that people are used to.

The Australian is highly gifted but has never reached his full potential on the court. Kyrgios could defeat the top players on one day and on others, he would go home packing without any real explanation.

The Aussie also has a bit of a temper on the court and has riled up many opponents in the past. However, he is more than content with how things have gone in his career and has never been upset about his wins or losses.

The 25-year-old is also extremely outspoken and has hit out on stars such as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

However, this time it was a legend who called him out. Kyrgios posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the caption “Different breed”.

While the Aussie is different, tennis legend Boris Becker didn’t think so and shot back saying “In your dreams.”

Twitter explodes as Kyrgios aims shot at Becker

Becker is a former coach of Novak Djokovic and helped the Serbian win a few Grand Slams. The German recently spoke about Kyrgios not having a coach and that could be why the Australian wasn’t winning the big events.

However, Kyrgios wasn’t taking the latest jab at him lightly. He shot off on Twitter and claimed that Becker needed a paycheck in the past:

“He’s gone from wanting to coach me, obviously for his desperate need of a pay check, to hating on my Instagram. Strange world we live in”

While some fans agreed with Kyrgios in all this, others backed Becker:

This wasn’t the end of the rivalry. Becker and Kyrgios have quarrelled in the past and the German legend retweeted a couple of responses to the Aussie’s post:

Kyrgios is different to every player out there but Becker’s comments in the past have been interesting too.

It is unlikely that this latest battle will change anything for either star.
