Bjorn Borg will lead a strong Team Europe squad comprising Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas among others

Stefanos Tsitsipas shared a picture on Twitter with the retiring Roger Federer and Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg ahead of the fifth edition of the Laver Cup in London this weekend. Tsitsipas and Federer will be representing Team Europe, with Borg leading the squad as captain. This year’s team competition will mark the end of Federer’s illustrious career with the Swiss maestro set to retire after this tournament.

Team Europe, winner of all previous four editions, features the ‘Big Four’ – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray – with Norway’s Casper Ruud and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas being the other members. Italy’s Matteo Berrettini has been named as the alternate player in the squad.

While Team Europe have a really strong and experienced squad, Team World are fielding a relatively more young squad. Team World comprises a host of promising youngsters including Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Diego Schwartzman, Alex de Minaur, John Isner and Jack Sock. Tommy Paul has been named as the alternate player in their squad.
