Daniil Medvedev currently ranked World No. 12 in ATP men’s singles rankings, reveals why he is a die-hard Bayern Munich fan.
Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev is an ardent fan of German football club Bayern Munich. In a recent interview, Medvedev was seen choosing Bayern over all his favourite things in a rapid-fire round. Medvedev has always maintained that he is a huge Bayern fan and started supporting the club when he was just 12 years old.
Medvedev is a huge football fan and had earlier revealed that his first favourite team was the Russian club CSKA Moscow. However, as a youngster, Medvedev wanted to support some big, successful club and that’s how his love story with Bayern began. Medvedev had previously stated that he never missed a single Bayern game as a child. “I watched every match of Bayern, I watched every friendly, I even watched practice sessions when there was a possibility. I became a huge fan. Only when I got better and more successful at tennis, soccer had to become less important, just because I had less time.”
