Roger Federer has wowed us over the years with his excellent skills on the court – in his last professional match, he hit a unique under-the-net shot that has become quite popular.

The legendary Roger Federer retired from professional tennis after playing a doubles match at the 2022 Laver Cup. He teamed with Rafael Nadal to take on the American duo of Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock. The two veterans went down fighting but the night was all about the Swiss superstar, who brought the curtains down on an illustrious 24-year career.

During the match, Federer played some glorious shots that were met with huge cheers from the spectators at the O2 Arena. The 41-year-old played his first match since the loss in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2021 against Hubert Hurkacz. In the first set, Federer looked a bit rusty but in the second set, he reminded us why he is hailed as one of the greatest players of all time.

One of Federer’s stunning shots was the one he hit under the net. The shot is extremely difficult to pull off and a fan witnessed it first-hand. A video has surfaced on the internet where a fan is seen trying the shot but after he hit the ball, it rebounded off the post that holds the net and struck him at the worst place possible.
