The ATP used Roger Federer to highlight proper care during the coronavirus outbreak

A hilarious mashup video posted by ATP featuring Roger Federer has gone viral in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The ATP suspended all matches for at least six weeks with the virus fear gripping the globe.

With the whole world showing solidarity in their fight against this new pandemic, the ATP also come up with their own innovative way of informing the public.

They posted a video montage of Roger Federer’s previous interviews asking people to wash their hands due to the coronavirus.

The video titled, “Listen to Roger. #WashYourHands and stay safe.”, depicts cut-outs from Federer’s interviews mixed together in order to inform the world regarding coronavirus care.

Federer could be heard saying, “Its pretty simple actually. Wash your hands and thank you! I can’t thank you enough!”.

The Swiss maestro is one of the most followed sportspersons on the planet. He is a record 20-time Grand Slam champion and former World No.1.

Federer undergoing recovery

Meanwhile, Federer is currently home and recovering from a surgery he had undergone last month.

The Swiss underwent right-knee surgery after sustaining an injury during the Australian Open tournament earlier this year.

He was set to return by June before the grass-court season. However, with the coronavirus outbreak, it remains to be seen what Federer’s plans are for the future.

Federer was in the thick of things and had made his feelings known while the decision to cancel the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells was taken earlier.

Federer is a five-time champion at the Indian Wells. He and the other big names such as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have been pretty active in the WhatsApp group of ATP players where they discuss issues regarding the pandemic coronavirus.
