Young tennis sensation, Carlos Alcaraz, has become a household name in the tennis world with his staggering achievements in 2022.
The 19-year-old has played like a dream and seems to be a man on a mission at the moment. He has won titles left, right, and center this year.
The Spaniard bagged four titles this season and finished second in a couple of tournaments until the biggest moment in his young career came at the US Open.
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in a highly acclaimed final to win the title at Flushing Meadows. Because of the win, Alcaraz was crowned the new world No. 1 in the ATP rankings, replacing 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev.
Alcaraz was given a hero’s welcome at the Ferrero Academy as young players and coaches wore t-shirts that had his photo embedded. Everyone at the academy clapped for Alcaraz and posed for pictures with the talented youngster. Alcaraz’s smile revealed how delighted he was after being treated like an icon.

Carlos Alcaraz turned pro in 2018 and has not taken too much time to get going. At just 19, he won his first major title and experts believe that this is just the beginning of something very special.
Alcaraz has won 85 singles matches so far and lost just 28 with a win percentage of 75.2. He has bagged six titles as of now. He reached a career-high ranking of world No. 1 on 12 September 2022.
Alcaraz has not played too many doubles matches on the tour. In six matches, he has won three and lost three. He has accumulated prize money of $9,119,045 in singles and doubles combined.
