Rafael Nadal has a habit of sweeping the court himself post his training and it’s a lesson for every budding athlete
An old video of Rafael Nadal sweeping the court has re-surfaced on the internet. The video clip initially went viral last year when it was shared by Allister McCaw, a renowned author. Rafael Nadal has had a habit of sweeping his court after training since he was a young boy and he still maintains that to this day.
Rafael Nadal has always won hearts on and off the court and he continues to do that. The video of the Spaniard sweeping the court has been reshared several times on various social media platforms but it was originally posted by Allister McCaw in June 2020.
“A great example to all young athletes out there, regardless of what sport you play. If multiple Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal can clean his own court after him, then you can clean your training area up afterwards too. It’s called humility & respect”, McCaw tweeted back then.
The video never seems to get old and it was a golden throwback memory for the fans. Let us take a look at some of the most interesting reactions.
“A work ethic and a respect for the game. That is what separates the great and the all time great”, a fan summed it up beautifully.
“Hey golf world take note of this one!! Wow Rafael Nadal can teach us all a little something about playing surface care”, wrote another fan.
PGA Tour Golf analyst, Mark Immelman tweeted – “A Servant-hearted legend! Never forget where you came from. Never be too big for your boots. And as my mentor told, and still tells, me: Don’t fall in love with the smell of your own perfume.”
“Over the many years I’ve had nothing but the upmost respect for Mr. Nadal”, tweeted another fan.
