Carlos Alcaraz reclaimed his No.1 position after winning the Queen’s Club Championships last week – he recently joined hands with Louis Vuitton as their House Ambassador.
French fashion house Louis Vuitton has roped in Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz as their newest Ambassador. The Spaniard is one of the hottest properties in global sports currently and this is not the first time that he has been signed by a top brand as their ambassador.
Alcaraz is endorsed by a lot of popular multi-national brands even at such a young age. He is sponsored by Nike for clothing and shoes, Babolat for racquets. He recently became the brand ambassador of popular Swiss watch manufacturing company, Rolex.
Earlier this year, Alcaraz was announced as the Brand Ambassador for Calvin Klein’s underwear campaign ‘Calvins or nothing’. However, this association seems to be closer to his heart. “For me, Louis Vuitton is really a brand that I have always looked to and when the opportunity to work with the team arose, it instantly felt like a perfect partnership“, said Alcaraz after the partnership was officially revealed on social media.
Alcaraz has been spending the past few years educating himself on how he could make an entry into fashion and he certainly seems to be on the right track.
Carlos Alcaraz is having an epic season and has already won five ATP titles this year – the Argentina Open, the Indian Wells Masters, the Barcelona Open, the Madrid Open and most recently, the Queen’s Club Championships. He has reclaimed the No.1 spot in singles after his triumph in London.
The Tennis world has witnessed a game of musical chairs for the No.1 between Djokovic and Alcaraz this year with both players frequently exchanging the top spot. This is likely to continue in the next few seasons but it’s Alcaraz who occupies the throne for now.
Alcaraz became the youngest ever No.1 when he won his only Grand Slam title (the US Open) last year. He will now aim to hold the spot for a longer period of time. It’s time for the Spaniard to prove himself on the grass courts of Wimbledon and there is no doubt that he will relish the challenge.
