Novak Djokovic ended up mopping a court after losing a match
Novak Djokovic had to mop the court after losing a bet to countrymate Viktor Troicki on Tuesday.
The World No.1 had to clean the court at the Novak Tennis Centre in his native Belgrade, in Serbia after losing to former World No.12 Troicki during a practice session.
With tennis having resumed in a few parts of the world including Serbia after the coronavirus lockdown, Djokovic like many of his co-stars was once again seen in action outside.
The 32-year-old seemed to be preparing himself for the upcoming Adria Tour which will kick off from June 12. The video of Djokovic cleaning the court after losing his bet was shared by the World No.1 himself.
Djokovic shared the video put up by his fan named “elena_fan_of_nole” on Instagram after she had posted a story on her wall. The recent video, which went viral online also had a funny caption attached to it that read “Even the 17 GS champ is mopping the court (after his bet on their match with @viktortroicki)”.
“One of the best athletes on the planet ever”
Dominic Thiem heaped praise upon Djokovic recently. According to Thiem, Djokovic is not just one of the best tennis players of all time but also one of the best athletes on the planet.
“It is clear that Novak is not only one of the best tennis players in the world of all time, but he is also one of the best athletes on the planet ever. We have a very good relationship on and off the court. Djokovic Is one of the guys I meet most often on the ATP tour,” Thiem told Sportklub.
Thiem had lost to the Serb in the final of the 2020 Australian Open. Thiem is also one of the big names from the ATP circuit, who has confirmed his participation for the upcoming Adria Tour.
