Have you ever wondered what elite athletes like Rafael Nadal eat throughout the day? Here is his routine diet.

Athletes are very particular about their diet plan and when it comes to the elite level, it’s their diet plan which can act as the recipe to their success. There is no ‘ideal’ diet plan as such as it differs from athlete to athlete and sport to sport. In this article, we will take a look at Rafael Nadal‘s customized diet plan which has helped him become one of the greatest athletes of all time.

In a physically demanding sport like Tennis, Nadal has to be very particular about his nutrition and diet. Nadal’s diet differs depending on whether it’s a matchday or a training day. The Spaniard generally has bread with olive oil and orange juice for breakfast. For post work-out recovery, he prefers a vanilla protein shake and for dinner, he generally has seafood and pasta.

When it comes to matchdays, he typically has rice with fish and vegetables before a match. During lunchtime, he generally has fish and chicken breasts. Apart from that, he often indulges in chocolate and red wine.
