Naiktha Bains is a professional tennis player on the WTA tour. She was born on February 17, 1997, in Leeds, England. Bains comes from a multicultural background, with an Indian father and a British mother. She began playing tennis at a young age and showed great promise in the sport.
Her father is of Indian descent, while her mother is British. Bains often embraces her Indian heritage but initially represented Australia on the international tennis circuit. However, she has been representing Great Britain on the WTA tour since April 2019.
Bains made her breakthrough in junior tennis, reaching a career-high junior ranking of No. 10 in the world in 2014. During her junior career, she competed in prestigious tournaments such as the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
