Following Paul’s remarkable comeback from a two-sets-to-love deficit, the 14th-seeded player approached Eddie and generously presented him with one of his signature red New Balance shirts.
Eddie returned to his courtside spot on Friday, enthusiastically cheering on Tommy Paul during his Round 3 match inside Arthur Ashe Stadium. In a thrilling four-set victory over the 21st-seeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Paul secured his spot in the Round 4 of the tournament, marking a significant achievement for him in New York.
After the match’s conclusion, Paul rushed over to Eddie, gifting him another shirt and sharing a warm hug.
