TFT Gifts of the Golden Lantern event: Missions, rewards, release date, and more

Published by

Here is everything coming to Team Fight Tactics in the Gifts of Golden Lantern event. Find out more about the start date, rewards, and more.

Golden Lantern Gift is the upcoming Team Fight Tactics (TFT) event, which will take place in time for the Lunar New Year. Prepare to shower your friends with gifts for the new year, and earn goodies for yourself by completing in-game objectives.

Gift of the Golden Lantern is autobattler’s Lunar New Year festival, which takes place on February 1st. The carnival, on the other hand, will begin a little earlier in the game, with the opportunity to acquire free Little Legend eggs, emojis, and other items. Here’s how it’ll go down.

New TFT Little Legends, Arenas in Gifts of the Golden Lantern

In preparation for the Gifts of the Golden Lantern event, a number of new characters have been added to the PBE. New Duckbill, Dowsie, and Dango versions are included, as well as a Chibi Firecracker Jinx tactician with its own bang.

A new Golden Tiger Market Arena will be added to these, with lots of poros to witness the combat and celebrate the New Year in the Convergence. All of these Little Legends and Arenas should be available for a little amount of RP during the event, or you might get lucky and find them in the Festival Firecracker or Year of the Tiger Eggs.

TFT Gifts of the Golden Lantern event missions

To gain access to the Gifts of the Golden Lantern event, you must first accept Duckbill’s invitation in-client. All you have to do now is jump into a game and the missions will appear. To receive great rewards, you’ll need to talk to each of the Tacticians during the festival — there are seven in total — and complete in-game quests.

It’s similar to the League Spirit Blossom event from Season 10. Each Tactician has certain secret missions tied to riddles, and we’ll let you know what they are once we’ve completed the event. For now, here are the assignments you must do in TFT’s Gifts of the Golden Lantern event to make your Tactician buddies happy.

TFT Gifts of the Golden Lantern event rewards

You’ll be rewarded with Little Legend eggs, Star Shards, and more if you give the Tacticians exactly what they want for the new year. However, you don’t have to complete all of the missions to receive all of the goodies – and if you low-roll your eggs, you’ll have to spend some money. Year of the Tiger Protector and Firecracker Jinx are only available in certain eggs, and things like Jinx’s special Tactician boom and the Golden Tiger Market arena require a bundle.

TFT Gifts of the Golden Lantern event end date

TFT Gifts of the Golden Lantern was released on January 20, 2022, as part of TFT version 12.2. It will last two patches, concluding on February 15, 2022, when patch 12.4 is released. Given that TFT Set 6.5, the Neon Nights Mid-Set update, is set to launch on the same day, make sure you give everyone at the festival the gifts they deserve before then.
