The team of Chan Hao-ching & Wu Fang-Hsien takes on Lathisa Chan & Alexa Guarachi in the semifinals of the 2023 Thailand Open on Saturday.

It has been smooth sailing so far in the tournament for Chan Hao-ching and Wu Fang-Hsien. They won both their matches in straight sets.
In the first round, they got off to a flying start against the team of Xinyu Wang and Erin Routliffe. After comprehensively winning the first set, the Taiwanese duo managed to hold their nerves in a closely-contested second set to eventually win the match 6-1, 7-5. In the quarterfinals, Hao-ching and Fang-Hsien got the better of the top-seeded team of Tamara Zidansek and Ellen Perez in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. They converted 5 out of 7 break points and also had a win percentage of 74 on the first serve.

The 4th-seeded team began the tournament with a loss in the first set against Nao Hibino and Irina Khromacheva. However, Chan and Guarachi bounced back to win the match 5-7, 6-3, 10-5. They did not spare any chance to break, converting 4 out of 4 break points.
In the quarterfinals, Guarachi and Chan put on a solid display to defeat the American-Chinese duo of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Xinyun Han. The match ended in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in favor of Guarachi and Chan. They converted 5 out of 7 break points and were particularly good on the second serve with a win percentage of 70.
