Premier League Opinion: Gameweek 32 – FPL Captain Picks
This weekend, the Premier League returns to action after an international break that is certain to have annoyed some of the die-hard followers of the Fantasy Premier League. With a double gameweek for some of the teams approaching, let’s take a look at how the fixtures are lined up.
League leaders Manchester City have a relatively easy double header of matches as they travel to the worst defence in the league at Craven Cottage, before welcoming Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City to the Etihad Stadium later in the week.
The biggest game of the weekend is set for Sunday night and Spurs have the opportunity to have their voice heard in this title race as they face off against Liverpool at Anfield. The Reds will come into this tie needing consistent victories to have any chance of trumping City to the title.
Arsenal face a visit in-form Newcastle United while Manchester United have tough fixtures against Wolves and Watford lines up. Spurs’ long awaited opening of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is finally complete and they are set to play their first match there against Crystal Palace.
Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are also in action twice this week as they face a challenging trip to Cardiff before eventually travelling back to welcome Brighton at Stamford Bridge. In other ties, West Ham face off against Everton in what promises to be a high-scoring game.
With just 4 points separating Tottenham in 3rd from Chelsea in 6th, all the 4 teams involved in the race for the Champions League places will have to be faultless as this week provides a great opportunity to make massive leaps on the table.
Based on the above fixtures, here are our captain picks for FPL Gameweek 32:
Sergio Aguero
The Argentine wizard has been in sensational form in recent weeks and the international break would’ve certainly come as a break to his rhythm. Like we’ve seen in the past though, he doesn’t need time to find his feet and with fixtures against Cardiff and Fulham lined up, this would be a no-brainer.
Eden Hazard
Chelsea will be eager to bounce back from what has been an extremely tough period for them.
While their games don’t look hard on paper, this Blues side have made simple matches unnecessarily difficult this term. With Hazard scoring twice for Belgium last week, expect the magician to find the net for the Blues.
Raheem Sterling
The Englishman scored for England during the international break and had an amazing game in the Premier League before the halt as well. He will be eager to get on with the league and is fully expected to tear the minnows to shreds as City face easy fixtures.

Marcus Rashford
The Englishman has been all over the papers this week but should currently be concentrating only on his team’s fixtures against Wolves and Watford this week. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now the permanent manager, Rashford will have a point to prove and that’s why captaining him could pay dividends.
