Here is all you need to know about The Demon in WWE
The Demon is Finn Balor’s alter ego and the character is everything the name suggests. The Demon character first came into existence in his New Japan Pro wrestling days where he used to wrestle under the ring name Prince Devitt.
When he signed with the WWE he changed his ring name to Finn Balor. The name Finn Balor originates from the two mythological characters from Ireland.
Finn came from Finn MacCool who is a warrior and who picked up a piece of the coast of Ireland and threw it in the Sea. Balor is the king of race of demons and a one-eyed giant who is capable of killing anything he looks at.
The Demon is actually coming from a mythical character named Balor. Which is also Finn’s second name. When the Balor fights under the character of Demon he is actually more aggressive. His entrance also changes a bit when he takes on the character.
The Demon does not come out often but when it does it is loved by the fans. The character in itself feels supernatural and it’s sort of an experience when the character is displayed. The last time the Demon appeared in the WWE was way back in June of 2019.
Balor has revealed that he feels like the Demon character is a step backwards. But the WWE and the fans definitely don’t think so. The Demon made his first appearance in over two years on this week’s SmackDown at MSG to send out a message to Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns defended his WWE Universal Title against Balor on SmackDown of 3rd September. The match was fairly dominated by Reigns who managed to get his had raised at the end of the match. As the match ended there was a red flash for a second as Reigns was making his way out the ring.
The red flash hinted the return of the Demon. On this week’s SmackDown at MSG the Demon returned to confront Reigns. It is made clear that the Demon has officially returned. And he will be facing Reigns at Extreme Rules come September 26th.
Balor as his alter-ego the Demon has been very dominant in his matches. He has managed to win most of the matches he has fought as his alter-ego. Extreme Rules has promised to be an exciting event as Balor has brought back his Demon alter-ego he will surely pose a tough challenge on Reigns.
Brock Lesnar also made his appearance at this week’s SmackDown to challenge Reigns so, that will only be after Reigns defending his title against the Demon.
Will Balor prevail on top as the Demon or will the Tribal Chief get his hand raised yet again what do you think?
