The Fiend and Alexa Bliss seemed to work together to destroy a WWE star
One of the big talking points from this week’s WWE SmackDown was The Fiend and Alexa Bliss.
The Fiend seemed to have control over Bliss and more would open up on the KO Show. Kevin Owens was a special guest on SmackDown, and this segment left a huge impression.
For all the good on SmackDown there is also the bad. A couple of matches didn’t really make the mark and here are the hits and misses from the show.
Misses
1) Blink and miss
WWE handed a couple of quick and easy wins to Otis and Sheamus but that didn’t help any of the participants.
Otis faced off against John Morrison and neither star had their partner with them. Sheamus easily destroyed Shorty G, again, and well, this didn’t really cut it.
Some of the action on SmackDown was great but these quick and easy wins felt more like filler segments rather than telling a story.
Hits
1) Let him in
Alexa Bliss seemed to lure Owens into her midst as The Fiend made an appearance and attacked KO.
The pairing of Bliss and the Fiend were then holding hands as the Goddess snapped out of her trance. This was proof that Bliss is now part of the Fiend’s plan and KO could be in the firing line in all this.
WWE might have wasted a few storylines in the past but they have done a great job with this one.
2) Smart Zayn
Sami Zayn was able to keep his WWE Intercontinental title after defeating Jeff Hardy on SmackDown.
Just like Clash of Champions, Zayn used his head and got the win. While he handcuffed AJ Styles and Hardy in the ladder match at the PPV, the Canadian used the exposed turnbuckle to great use this time.
This ending might not have been great but it continued Zayn’s great run where he is using his brains a lot.
3) No bowing down to the Chief
Jey Uso vs Roman Reigns part 2 is on after the champion warned his cousin not to try out a rematch.
Reigns refused to be called the Tribal Chief as Jey didn’t acknowledge him with that term at Clash of Champions.
However, Jey wasn’t lying down and wanted another crack at his cousin. The WWE Universal Champion gave Uso another title shot at Hell in a Cell but warned him from taking it.
Jey wasn’t backing down and accepted the challenge, though Reigns will explain what the stakes are in all this.
