Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are the creators of the HBO post-apocalyptic drama television series The Last of Us. The 2023 television series, based on the 2013 video game created by Naughty Dog, is twenty years into a pandemic brought on by a widespread fungal illness that compels its hosts to mutate into zombie-like monsters and causes society to collapse.

The Last of Us season 2
The final episode of The Last of Us’s first season will air on March 12, 2023, in the US, and on March 13, 2023, in the UK. The first season was shot in Canada over the course of about 200 days, and additional months were devoted to editing the show and including the eerie fungus effects.
Season one of the show premiered on January 15, 2023, 18 months after the first scene was filmed. Even if the second season has been confirmed, it won’t be available for some time. We wouldn’t anticipate seeing season two episodes until at least the middle of 2024, even if production started in mid-March 2023.
The Plot of Season 2
The Last of Us’s first season depicts the growing romance between Ellie and Riley in a deserted shopping centre and weaves their tragic story with that of Ellie’s search for aid for an injured Joel. The Left Behind DLC was an add-on that players could acquire for the original game, and season one now includes both of them.
Season two will begin with some of the second game’s events, and it is anticipated that Joel and Ellie will reprise their respective roles. Abby Anderson, Ellie’s girlfriend Dina, Jesse, Owen, Lev, and Yara are among the new characters that are introduced, along with a new main character.
