Lancia Stratos Zero
The Lancia Stratos Zero is a concept car shown at the 1970 Turin Auto Show. It was a mid-mounted vehicle with the 1.6L Lancia Fulvia V4 engine and 5-speed manual gearbox. Built around RWD, Digital-style instrument display, retractable steering wheel, and Lancia Fulvia chassis, the vehicle’s estimated top speed was 120mph. Apart from the designs, the vehicle had advanced features. The exterior design was wedge-shaped with hidden headlights and windshield. It looked like a spacecraft inspired by Lotus eSpirit and Lamborghini vehicles.
Alfa Romeo Carabo

It’s another concept vehicle designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone. In 1971, it was displayed at the Paris Motor show. The vehicle never made it into production. It was equipped with a 2.0L V8 engine with 6-speed manual gearbox and a top speed of 155mph. The design was aerodynamics with wedge shape. It had gullwing scissor doors, aluminium components, and racing chassis. The vehicle didn’t have great ground clearance. Some notable features were two-seat cockpit, hidden headlights and canopy forward visibility. Reports indicate the collector value of Alfa Romeo Carabo is $2 million USD, but there is no information whether there are any units available for sale.
Dodge Charger Daytona
The Dodge Charger Daytona was an ultimate NASCAR vehicle with impeccable features. It was the first NASCAR car to record 200mph on tracks. The Dodge Charger Daytona was built around Magnum V8 and Hemi V8 engines. Be it designs or technology, everything was out of the world, but the total units were limited to just 503. The Dodge Charger Daytona featured huge rear wings, aerodynamic nose cones, and reinforced suspension systems. It looked like a fighter jet and was praised for its aerodynamics.
Oldsmobile Toronado

One of the best cars from the Oldsmobile is Toronado. The 1966 model was the first modern american vehicle with the Front-wheel drive system. It was built using Rocket V8 engines and 3-speed automatic transmission. It was a heavy-torque vehicle producing 510lb-ft of torque. Oldsmobile Toronado offered a top speed of 155mph and there was no compromise on the performance as well. Technology like Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, long torque drive chain system, and Front-wheel drive system facilitated its performance. It featured hidden headlights and looked like a jet with coke body shape.
Maserati Boomerang
The 1974 Maserati Boomerang was another concept vehicle with stunning designs. It was displayed at the Turin Auto Show in 1974. With the 4.7L Maserati V8 engine, RWD, and 5-speed manual gearbox, the vehicle has the potential to deliver 170mph. It was never sold in the market, but could have created a great impact with its features which included instrument cluster, racing chassis, and two-seat cockpit. It had aggressive styling with wedge shape, triangular profile, wide stance, and origami metal styling.
Pontiac Banshee
The 1970 Pontiac Banshee was seen as the rival of Corvette and Ford, but it was just another concept car. It was equipped with Pontiac V8 engines, RWD, and 4-speed automatic transmission. It was made of lightweight fiberglass components and suspension tuning. The long hood, coupe roofline, headlights, split grille, and aerodynamics gave it a complete look. Pontiac Banshee would have been a gamechanger in the market if it was launched as a regular vehicle.
