Dream Tottenham line-up with their summer transfer targets

Tottenham have endured a disappointing campaign as they have been inconsistent ever since their loss to Liverpool in the Champions League final last season. They have been dumped out of the other cup competitions, whilst also finding themselves in 8th position in the league table.

Thus, Jose Mourinho should look to bring in reinforcements if they are to lift themselves up and bounce back to winning ways next campaign. For that to happen, they need to be swift in the upcoming transfer window and get hold of their targets.

Jose Mourinho is also keen on bringing in compatriot Ruben Neves to add depth to their midfield, as per The Sun. He is now rated at more than £50m.

Tottenham have been long-term followers of Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has just one more year left on his contract at St. Mary’s Stadium, as per Football.london.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Dean Henderson (GK)

Hugo Lloris has been the first-choice for Tottenham in goal over the years but it could be time for Spurs to respectfully part ways with their captain and move on to younger and bigger things.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Serge Aurier is the only option available at right-back right now. Unless Mourinho signs a replacement, he would start.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

The former Ajax man has not been at his best but he has got the experience. He has already replaced Jan Vertonghen and should definitely be a regular starter.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld is one of the senior figures in the squad and has been one of the best defenders in the past decade for Tottenham. He will be the leader at the backline.

Ben Davies (LB)

Though Ryan Sessegnon has done a decent job in Davies’ absence, the Welshman is more experienced. He should be able to claim the spot for himself in the next campaign.

Ruben Neves (CM)

The Portuguese midfielder has been reliable over the past couple of years for Wolves and the national team. He is also capable of providing goals from a deeper position and should get the nod ahead of the others if Tottenham sign him.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM)

The Saints star is one of the most consistent players in the Premier League. His leadership qualities have also been top-notch and he is capable of controlling the game in his terms.

Lucas Moura (RW)

Moura has not been at his best throughout the campaign but he is capable of getting the job done. He needs to improve his game, which in turn could be a massive boost for the squad.

Dele Alli (AM)

The Englishman has been one of the players used regularly since the arrival of Mourinho. He remains to be a key figure in their creative department.

Heung Min-Son (LW)

Son is capable of causing damage to the opposition with his pace and technique. He is one of the prized assets for the Lilywhites and the manager should be able to get the best out of him next season.

Harry Kane (ST)

A leader in the attack, Kane’s return to the squad is a huge boost. His absence has cost them a lot and the striker should be able to guide them throughout the whole of next season.
