It’s looking like this month may be the beginning of the end for Kyle Walker-Peters at Tottenham Hotspur. Crystal Palace are interested in signing Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters on loan in January, according to Daily Mail.
Walker-Peters has not played a league game since August with his only two appearances since coming in the Carabao Cup and Champions League.
Spurs sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid in the summer without replacing him and Mourinho has relied on Serge Aurier since his appointment. Juan Foyth can also act as a makeshift right-back, but Moussa Sissoko, who filled in there under Pochettino, is out through injury.
Walker-Peters began the season as Spurs’ first-choice right-back, starting their first three league matches against Aston Villa, Man City and Newcastle but he has not featured in the League since suffering a hamstring strain against the latter. The 22-year-old has made just one appearance in 12 matches under Jose Mourinho and endured a difficult evening in a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League dead-rubber.
Palace have prioritized a right-back and at least one new striker, as manager Roy Hodgson attempts to strengthen his squad.
Palace have been short at right-back since the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in the summer, only compounded by Joel Ward’s knee injury in November. The former England Under-21 international, who was once touted as Kyle Walker’s successor at Tottenham, would be keen to play regularly again and would provide competition to current Palace right-back Martin Kelly.
In total, the defender has made 24 appearances for the Tottenham first team since emerging from the club’s youth ranks.

Although Serge Aurier is prone to the odd mistake, he has firmly established himself as the first choice right back at the club under new manager Jose Mourinho. His crossing has been top-class and has been a constant threat. Walker-Peters has found it extremely difficult to break into the first team of late. Palace, on the other hand, are short of full-backs, thus making Walker-Peters a good addition to Roy Hodgson’s side.
