Rafael Nadal had a brilliant wedding in 2019 with some incredible photos

Rafael Nadal had an incredible wedding and married his long-time girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello at a Spanish fortress.

The Spaniard’s wedding photos were not released into the public as it was a very private affair involving closed ones and few other celebrities.

The wedding was attended by 350 guests which included former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I. Tennis stars Feliciano Lopez, basketball player Paul Gasol and other famous people.

The pair tied the knot at La Fortaleza, in Nadal’s hometown Mallorca, which is believed to be one of the most expensive properties in Spain.

Few details and images of Nadal’s wedding were made public, however, in recent days many pictures have resurfaced on the internet. Spanish media outlet Gtres had shared a few photos.

Nadal shared a picture on his Instagram page depicting the view from La Fortaleza with a winking emoji. Except for that no other pictures were posted by the 19-time Grand Slam winner.

Though later in December Nadal shared his wedding photo to the world via his Instagram account with a caption that read: “And to say goodbye to all of you I leave you with this last great memory of 2019 and take the opportunity to wish you all the best for 2020!”

Meanwhile, the US Open’s Instagram account also posted Nadal’s wedding photo to congratulate the couple.

The pair had earlier got engaged back in May 2018 when Nadal proposed to Perello in Rome.

A relationship of 14 years

Nadal and Perello have been in a relationship for almost 14 years before they finally decided to tie the knot.

Nadal has been private about his romance and kept it away from the spotlight despite being a world-renowned tennis star.

The pair met each other through Nadal’s younger sister Maria Isabel Nadal. Maria was a childhood friend of Perello, who also hails from Mallorca.

Perello meanwhile does not often travel with Nadal on his Tours, however, she could be seen supporting him from the box during the Majors.

Nadal even joked about his wife at the recent Australian Open. The tennis scene has, however, been hit by the coronavirus.

The Spaniard won’t bee seen in action for a while, and he can spend more time with his better half now.
