Tim Flock Car Collections
Tim Flock drove numerous cars in his 13-year NASCAR career. He won two NASCAR Cup Series titles with Chrysler C-300 and Hudson. Tim Flock drove the Hudson Hornet for 3 seasons. He made his debut in NASCAR for Buddy Elliott racing where he drove the 1949 Oldsmobile model. Flock also competed in the following seasons in Cadillac, Lincoln, and Plymouth vehicles.

Tim Flock participated in only 2 Daytona 500 events and he drove Ford in both the seasons. He also drove a 1957 Mercury car which is available at the Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville. Tim Flock’s personal car collections include his Hudson Hornet and Diecast models. He also drove stock cars before making his debut in NASCAR. Tim Flock’s other car collections were Chevrolet for Mauri Rose Engineering and Pontiac for Jim Stephens. In 1960, he drove a Buick for Ratus Walters.
Tim Flock was one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers and Most Popular Drivers who survived races without major accidents. Flock will always be remembered for the 1953 Southern 500 incident where he drove the race with a Rhesus Monkey, an animal co-passenger. His monkey, Jocko Flocko, was part of 8 races where Flock also won one. Tim Flock suffered minor injuries and his ribs were damaged in one of the races.

Tim Flock was part of crashes in practice races in the 1957 NASCAR season. Reports revealed he suffered memory loss after these small incidents. After these small crashes, Tim Flock retired from NASCAR after the 1961 season. Flock also competed in the 1961 Daytona 500 event and finished 24th.

Tim Flock won many races in his #91 Fabulous Hudson Hornet including the 1952 Cup Series. His Hudson Hornet had blue and white colors sponsored by Blackburn Auto Ser. He also drove a Chrysler 300-B car sponsored by Outboards and Carl Kiekhaefer. Tim Flock’s Chrysler car had White paint schemes with red designs and logos. He won the 1955 Cup Series with the Chrysler car.

Tim Flock started with #90 Oldsmobile and Cadillac cars. He then drove #21 Lincoln and #90 Lincoln cars. Flock also drove #98 Plymouth and #285 Pontiac cars. Some of Tim Flock’s other car numbers were #15, #18, #10, #83, and #86. Flock’s cars in Daytona 500 were #15 Ford and #83 Ford.
