Tommaso Ciampa was at his scary best on this week’s WWE NXT
There was a lot going on this week’s WWE NXT with Tommaso Ciampa leaving a huge mark. WWE also had to deal with two titles as Karrion Kross provided an update on his injured shoulder.
The NXT tag team titles were also on the line, which was a plus, but there were some segments that didn’t work too.
Mia Yim faced off against Shotzi Blackheart and ended up losing. The HBIC was considered as one of the best on NXT but she just can’t get a break.
She wasn’t on TV for a while and it is great to see her now. However, she deserves to be in bigger storylines and hopefully, WWE has something good planned for the HBIC.
Kross confirmed that he was going to relinquish the title but no one knows how long he is out for.
He suffered a separated shoulder on NXT TakeOver: XXX and this much have been painful for him.
There was nothing wrong with the segment whatsoever, but it was just a little disheartening to see the champ vacate his title in such circumstances.
Ciampa made his mark on NXT as he attacked Jake Atlas after defeating the youngster. This was the Ciampa of the old as he injured the rising NXT star and didn’t stop even when he was on a stretcher.
We haven’t seen this side of Ciampa since his rivalry with Johnny Gargano, and this can only mean good things for him and the brand.
Fandango and Tyler Breeze finally won their first titles in WWE and it was a long time coming.
The tag team have had their ups and downs but after nearly a decade in the business, they got a great win over Imperium.
It seemed that the pair were done when Fandango picked up an injury. However, they kept going after his return and it was an emotional moment not only for them but all those watching around the world.
NXT certainly knows how to set up matches and they did it once again for the NXT title. Kross is out due to an injury and William Regal confirmed that a four-way match would take place.
Finn Balor, Ciampa, Adam Cole and Gargano will participate in this clash. However, this is going to be a 60-minute Iron man match.
This has all the settings of a huge clash on NXT and could be one of the matches of the year too.
