From new IPs (Intellectual Property) to old franchises fighting games still have that magic in them. The transition to mobile gaming was a breeze too as there are a ton of to play on the Android market. This article showcases the list of best fighting games Android has to offer.

(Please keep in mind that this list is in no particular order)

Best Fighting games Android Platform recommendations

Brawlhalla

Rating: 4.3

Brawlhalla is quite a fascinating and enjoyable game. Super Smash Bros. is an inspiration to this game and it plays similarly. On a tiny platform with corners where you can fall off, players engage in combat. The attacks and powers of the different characters vary, much like in Super Smash Bros.

There are also other game modes and extensively modifiable on-screen controls. In brief moments, this is an enjoyable arcade fighter. Additionally, there are 50 characters, and more are always being added. The 2D cartoony look and feel is another cherry on the top for this gem. This list started off strong (pun intended) with the Best Fighting games Android has to offer.

Injustice series

Rating: 4.3

Bending a few rules here as I am including 2 games of the same franchise. On Android, DC fans can kill the time with Injustice. By now, the original Injustice: Gods Among Us and its sequel has been highly received, and the Injustice franchise is a very well-known one. Released back in 2013, I personally still play this card combat/ button tapping fighting game.

Sadly, there isn’t much substance to the gameplay, which consists of simply pressing the screen to determine whether you are winning or losing. As far as list of Best Fighting games Android offers and for fans of DC comics, this game is a treat with its fun to play and simple yet addictive gameplay, and the character roster is rather great (with some mobile exclusives).

Dragon Ball Legends

Rating: 4.4

What happens when you make an anime based on fighting and turn it into a game? Dragon Ball Legends is a deftly crafted brawler where timing and strategy are more important than button mashing and aggression, even though the title doesn’t completely capture the essence of the game. Since we’re discussing Dragon Ball, of course there’s the obligatory button mashing, but this is a strategic game where you actually have to pay attention to every move your opponent makes.

You will assemble a squad of your most favored Saiyans, and Androids (pun intended) and demonstrate your skill in close-quarters and long-range battles. A little bit of a different fighter is Dragon Ball Legends. Battles in this game are centered around cards, but you fight as characters from Database. It’s still one of the best fighting game experiences, but it’s optimized for mobile devices.

Rating: 4.6

Skullgirls is a unique experience. In addition to being a fighting game, it’s an RPG. Some could argue otherwise, but I see it as a fighting game with RPG components. Still, Skullgirls is an awesome game. With so many options, including a story mode, you will undoubtedly be occupied for quite a bit of time. To win a battle, you must gather new characters, develop them, and send them into combat.

Even by fighting game standards, it’s an extravagant game. I cherish the backgrounds, animations, and character designs in this fantastic visual style. Maybe one of the more unique and one of the Best Fighting games Android flexes on the platform. Furthermore fantastic are the sound effects, which engross you in the fights.

Mortal Kombat Mobile

Rating: 4.2

Fatality!! The whole world is familiar with this franchise by not as it gave birth to the ESRB rating system. Fighters from several universes are assembled for this brutal fighting competition, which tests them to the point of depletion.

All of them have the same basic objective: to win the tournament by whatever means, regardless of the motivations behind their attendance: retaliation, honor, or sheer bloodlust. Developed by the same people who got us the Injustice franchise, this game breaks the barriers with its over the top violence. Special mention to the graphics that rival the console counterpart.

Marvel Contest of Champions

Rating: 4.3

Marvel fans Assemble!! While the screen-tapping combat is a little simple, you may put your favorite Marvel characters against one another in exquisitely depicted one-on-one matches with the Marvel Contest of Champions.

Imagine it as a Marvel movie crossed with Mortal Kombat, minus the gore as well as violence. With its endless plethora of characters, this game is a treat for all marvel fanatics and gamers in general and proudly marks this list of Best Fighting games Android wants gamers to experience.

Shadow Fight 3

Rating: 4.6

Honestly, all Shadow Fight games deserve a spot with their buttery smooth gameplay but the 3rd game takes the cake. In contrast to the 2D art style of the previous game, Shadow Fight 3 has 3D-rendered venues with surprisingly intricate detail. The player takes control of a silhouette shadow fighter. Your fighters are fantastic as they have come out of the shadows.

The incredibly fluid controls and animation of Shadow Fight are back in this version. The physics are also perfect; a well-timed heavy sword assault might cause your opponent to drop their sword and launch himself into the air. No game made such an impact on this list of Best Fighting games Android boasts. You can personalize your fighter with an abundance of weapons, armor, and special attacks, then play the entire campaign.

Street Fighter 4

Rating: 4.2

No introduction required for this franchise where gamers broke arcade cabinets in the early 90s. Nowadays they are breaking phones due to the mobile port of this 4th installment of Street Fighter. Despite a few server problems, Street Fighter IV is a titan of Android combat games.

The legendary fourth installment of one of the greatest fighting game series, which was directly responsible for the genre’s inception along with a few other games. With thirty-two distinct combatants, varying in gender and fighting style, numerous interactive arenas, good graphics, and online multiplayer support, gamers can compete against one another. Some claim that the greatest fighting game available for mobile devices is Street Fighter IV.

King of Fighters ALLSTAR

Rating: 4

King of Fighters ALLSTAR is an arcade beat-em-up featuring a story mode that covers the history of KoF games from ’94 through ’98. While you can choose to play ALLSTAR’s gameplay in an automatic mode, like with most gacha games, you can still have a great time going through the stages manually.

Since there is considerable visual depth to this 2D side-scrolling game, you need to organize yourself such that as many enemies are clustered together as you can before unleashing your devastating combos.  Especially the graphics in the menu and character choice screens are fantastic. Every single person on this enormous roster is really attractive. Also, there was a large focus on great-level design and stages.

EA Sports UFC Mobile 2

Rating: 4.4

Yes, EA did make a good enough game, that too a mobile port of it. Consider checking out UFC Mobile 2 from EA Sports if you enjoy more “realistic” bouts or if you follow professional mixed martial arts. Using a variety of real-life fighters from various weight classes, players may take part in intense fighting while growing up and getting better over time.

When one looks over the best combat games, they look at this game as that’s what one of the finest Android combat games does. An Android game that features UFC tie-ins is called EA Sports UFC Mobile 2. It’s a fairly faithful adaptation of the sport, complete with all the realistic trappings you would anticipate from an official title.

There you have it folks. Pow Pow Pow!!!!!!!!!
